Talking Book on Dementia in Vietnamese


Viet Talking book dementiaRoyal District Nursing Service (RDNS) has produced a Vietnamese talking book on dementia, which is the fifth in a series of talking books informing community members about the condition. 'Information on Dementia in Vietmanese' is a multi-media tool that can be viewed on a computer or tablet.

The talking book helps educate Vietnamese people about memory loss and dementia to assist them to best manage their condition in a more informed way. The book covers nine dementia topics, using simple information sheets and basic terms which are easy to understand.

Consultations with Vietnamese community members took place to ensure the information was culturally appropriate and easy to understand.

This book was created in partnership with Alzheimer's Australia Victoria and Australian Vietnamese Women's Association.

The talking book will be used by RDNS nurses with their Vietnamese clients and their families, although the book is available for anyone to use.
