Seniors festival 2015The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing is excited to announce that we will once again be participating in The Victorian Senior’s Festival opening ‘Celebration Day’ on Sunday 4 October 2015.

Celebration Day is a free community event and will run from 10.30am- 4.00pm. Visitors will be able to enjoy some great entertainment, food and fun.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing will be distributing aged care information in languages other than English, and will be joined by Chinese Community Social Services, Italian Services Institute, Benetas and more.

Senior’s festival is organised by the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services to encourage seniors to participate in and enjoy a wide range of more than 1,300 activities, generally free or low-cost.

Set to the theme of ‘Celebrating Communities’, this year's festival promises to be one of the most exciting and action packed yet. It features a fantastic array of social, cultural, body and soul activities that older Victorians enjoy or are keen to try for the first time.

The Victorian Seniors Festival program is now available from all Coles supermarkets, local councils or neighbourhood houses, and online at seniorsonline.vic.gov.au.
