Conference Update: Minister for Mental Health and Ageing Announced as a Keynote Speaker
The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing The Hon Mark Butler MP has confirmed his attendance on Friday 8 June at the Cultural Diversity in Ageing 2012 Conference: Stories to Inspire. The Minister will deliver a keynote address to conference delegates outlining the Department’s initiatives to support cultural diversity in ageing.
The Minister will join other keynote presenters including Pino Migliorino, Chairperson of FECCA; the Hon Susan Ryan AO, Australia’s Age Discrimination Commissioner; Beth Wilson, Victoria’s Health Services Commissioner; and Arnold Zable, award-winning author and storyteller.
Added to this is the array of concurrent sessions on a range of exciting, informative and inspiring topics including Positive Outcomes through Positive Partnerships, Innovations in Community Awareness, Capturing Life Stories and Aged Care Workforce Diversity. A number of interactive workshops, poster presentations, drinks function with musical performance by Melbourne duo Nougat and special recognition awards will make this year’s Cultural Diversity in Ageing Conference one not to miss.
