Respite Program for Elderly Italians with Dementia on you Tube
The Meeting Place project is a respite program run by Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre for elderly Italians with dementia. The program began in mid-2012 with two small groups who meet each week to engage in cultural activities and share a meal. The program has been successful in helping to reduce social isolation, alleviate depression and improve self-esteem among people living with moderate to high dementia.
