Free regional workshops announced!

Following on from the popular metropolitan workshops, we're happy to announce some free regional workshops in Apollo Bay (19th September) and Shepparton (29th November)!

The workshops are aimed at people working across all levels of residential aged care, this workshop will provide participants with:

  • information about key issues affecting clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • practical ways of improving outcomes for clients and their families
  • an understanding of the principles of culturally inclusive care
  • examples of good practice in the area of culturally inclusive aged care
  • access to useful tools and resources to enhance culturally inclusive aged care

Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing acknowledges and pays respect to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, on whose land this website was developed. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their ancestors and elders, both past and present and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We hope our work contributes to the wider project of respect and recognition between cultures in Australia. Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing receives project funding from the Australian Department of Health to administer the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) program in Victoria.
