Resident Handbook

This Resident Handbook will help new residents in aged care homes familiarise themselves with the services that will be provided to them. Also, the Resident Handbook will provide them with an overview of the broader support available to residents of aged care homes. They are available in bilingual format in Low Care, High Care and Low and High Care versions.

Available in a bilingual format in 19 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, Dutch, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Tagalog, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.    

In addition to welcoming the new resident to their new home, the Resident Handbook covers: Quality of Care; Rights and Responsibilities; Accessing Interpreting Services; Resident Participation; Advocacy; Complaints and Concerns; Harassment and Abuse; Privacy and Confidentiality; Legalities; Fees and Charges; Care Services; Cultural and Religious Requirements; Food Services and Recreational Activities.
