The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing was proud to once again host the Ageing in Australia Expo. The Expo, held on Saturday 29th April at the Melbourne Town Hall, provided a great opportunity for older people and their families to find out about the range of services available to them. Visitors were able to mingle with 50 exhibitors representing aged care providers, government departments, community organisations, health and community services, peak organisations and more.

An extensive promotional campaign targeting older people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background ensured that details of the Expo reached as many people as possible. The fantastic response from community members highlighted the critical need for health and aged care information in languages other than English.

Exhibitors were encourage to hand out multilingual information and interpreters representing 13 languages were available on the day to assist people to navigate the Expo.
