Training modules: Inclusive Service Standards

Online Training Modules: Inclusive Service Standards

The Inclusive Service Standards were developed to assist aged care providers in the development and delivery of inclusive services to all consumers. They provide a framework for organisations to adapt and improve their services and practices so they are welcoming, safe and accessible.

The following four online training modules provide an introduction to each Standard, together with ideas on how you could implement them within your organisation.

They are targeted at senior aged care managers and leaders responsible for quality service provision and inclusive care.

Start with the Introduction to inclusive service delivery module, which introduces the standards and illustrates the benefits of inclusion in action.

Then move on to modules 2-4, which each cover one of the Inclusive Service Standards. There are prompts along the way to help you reflect on where your organisation is on its journey, and how you might implement the standard.

Select the Print Responses button on the final screen to keep a copy of your answers.

LMS resources for service providers

If you're an Australian aged care service provider with a Learning Management System (LMS), you can roll out the Inclusive Service Standards training to staff using your own tools and processes. This can help you track engagement and completion as you work to implement the standards across the organisation. The modules use the common SCORM format, which is supported by a range of Learning Management Systems.

Please note that these training modules are free of charge, however will only be made available to Australian Government subsidised providers of CHSP, home care and residential aged care services. All requests will be verified and confirmed before SCORM packages are released.
