Specialisation Verification CALD is an Australian Government process that recognises an aged care service is providing safe and inclusive services for older people from culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse backgrounds. There are other specialisation areas under this initiative, but this webinar will address criteria for attaining SV CALD recognition. Any service may apply.
The webinar will:
- Demonstrate the benefits of pursuing SV CALD, including how it can help consolidate and showcase work already undertaken to meet strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and inclusion objectives.
- Provide an overview of the SV CALD application process, including requirements, evidence expectations, and key success factors.
- Build confidence to pursue SV CALD while recognising it as a milestone in an ongoing journey towards greater cultural safety, inclusion and excellence in aged care.
For Support at Home providers SV CALD enhance visibility through My Aged Care, and position the organisation for potential future funding opportunities, including Thin Markets Grant Opportunity.
