Register for our upcoming webinar Culture on the Plate

Serving culturally diverse food and experiences in aged care is essential for promoting dignity, wellbeing, and inclusion among individuals from different backgrounds and is embedded in the new Aged Care Act 2024, Statement of Rights and Quality Strengthened Standards. As older adults are increasingly from multicultural communities, it becomes even more important to provide care that respects their cultural identities.

This webinar will explore the importance and benefits of incorporating cultural preferences into food and dining experiences for individuals using aged care services whilst acknowledging the practicalities and challenges that putting culture on the plate presents.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions in our Q&A session with the speakers.

Kaitlyn Dienelt, Assistant Director, Food, Nutrition and Dining Unit, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
Craig Brown, Manager Property and Hospitality, Benetas
Henny McMahon, Site Manager, Martin Luther Homes
